The Technique

Step 1: 

The goal here is to relax and stretch the lashes upward against gravity before setting the final curl.

  • Product: Elleeplex Profusion Lift Lotion (Step 1) is mixed with Elleemix Powder (Viscosity Controller). This creates a thick, paste-like consistency. The viscosity controller is essential as it prevents the lotion from migrating and helps hold the lashes against the shield without relying on glue.

  • Shield: A flat silicone shield is placed just above the lash line.

  • Application: The thickened Step 1 lotion is applied from root to tip. Lashes are gently swept and held upward onto the flat shield.

  • Enhancing Softening: Cling film is applied over the lashes. This maintains pressure and traps gentle heat, which is particularly effective for breaking down the strong bonds in thick, coarse lashes and accelerating the softening process.

  • Assessment: Midway through and near the end of processing, perform a flex check. Lashes must be fully relaxed (like a spaghetti noodle) before moving to the next stage. Note: Fine tips may need solution removed earlier to avoid over-processing.

Step 2: 

Once the internal lash bonds are softened, the lashes are pliable and ready to be reshaped.

  • Transition: Remove the flat shield and Step 1 solution completely. Immediately place the chosen tool that best suits your client’s lashes , rods give more curl, while shields create a stronger lift. This step shapes the final look of the lash. 

  • Wrapping: The pre-softened lashes now wrap onto the curved shield with minimal resistance, making the wrapping process hassle-free and highly precise.

  • Setting: Elleeplex Profusion Setting Lotion (Step 2) is applied, also mixed with a smaller ratio of Elleemix Powder. This locks the newly lifted shape into place.

  • Results: This technique results in a defined, long-lasting lift that maximizes the appearance of natural length.

  • Ratio is Key: The Elleemix ratio must be exact. Too much powder can slightly dilute the active ingredients, requiring longer processing times for thick lashes.
